Why Do I Need a Relationship With Jesus?

This is a very good question. Some people are self sustaining and do not feel the need for any close personal relationship. However, most of us do need and desire relationships. We need someone to listen to us when we are hurting and are feeling down. We need someone to be there for us when we dealing with troubled times. One thing is for sure, troubled times and the storms of life will come. If you have never experienced the storms of life, batten down the hatches because they may be just around the corner.

So, who can we trust to be there for us when everyone else turns their back and walks away from us? We believe that One to be Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus sincerely wishes to have a close personal relationship with you. He wants to be there for you when you need peace and comfort in difficult times. He wants to be your Savior... and your friend.

Jesus also wants to be there when you have happy, settled times and when life is sweet. We sometimes forget to talk about those times. One thing is sure and it is summed up in the Bible in the words recorded in the book of John...

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Yes, God, the creator of the universe loves you. He isn't concerned about what your last name is or what color your skin is or how much money you have. Think about it... if you believe in God and that he created everything that is... how in the world could we impress him with our pedigree or our social status in life? It really is a humbling thought to realize that He loved us so much that he would arrange for our eternal life by allowing His Son to die for us.
