Chapel Hill is blessed to have a lot of people participating in several different ministries. We have ministries designed to meet the needs of our infants, children, youth & students, seniors and all stages in between. Below are short descriptions of many of our active ministries. As always, please feel free to email us or call us if you have questions about the opportunities that we have for you.

Adults On Mission

"Reaching out to the people in our church, the community, the nation and the world."
Adults On Mission is a missions organization for men and women (ages 18 and up) which they pray for and give to missions, participate in missions, learn about missions, grow spiritually towards a missions lifestyle, and participate in the work of the church and the denomination. The purpose of all Adults On Mission activities is that every person have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. The heart of Adults On Mission is to help create their own missions vision.

 AWANA

"FUN!!!" That's how most boys and girls describe AWANA Club meetings. To the parents however, the meetings are much more. AWANA meetings are filled with life-enriching experiences for our young people. We provide consistent positive teaching each week. This is accomplished through a format compiled of games, scripture memorization, refreshments, and, most of all, a time to learn about the reality of God, the truth of the Bible, and respect for our nation's freedoms. AWANA Club meetings are carefully organized according to ages and school grades to provide maximum interest and activity for everyone. AWANA clubs meet every Sunday from 5pm - 7pm.

Men's Ministry

This ministry grew out of a group of men who have a passion for serving the Lord and came together through attending Promise Keepers events over the last few years. Mike Sellers felt burdened to organize this ministry and is our contact person. This group meets twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM. We meet at the church and share fellowship and Bible life study utilizing various sources including the Marathon DVD series provided to us through our association with Promise Keepers. Our group also does various hands on projects for people in need around our immediate area. We encourage any men involved with our church family to join us whenever they can to share in this ministry... amen.

Music Ministry

Chapel Hill has a dynamic Music Department and is comprised of an inspired group of people dedicated to ministry. Our Music Department consists of the Celebration Choir and Praise Team, Children's Choirs, duets and soloists.

Our 8:45am service is very contemporary and is compiled up of five singers and seven band members that make up a very talented praise band. Our 8:45am service is designed for those who prefer a more modern worship experience. Our 11:00am service is lead by our Celebration Choir and is very exciting and dynamic in the music it sings. Our 11am service is designed for those who prefer a more tradition style of worship. It is our desire to use every avenue possible to provide a worshipful experience that will allow believers to express their hearts before the Lord through singing.

Philosophy
"To lead in worship, we must first worship" sums up the perspective we use to view all our Music Department activities. We also stress worship as a life-style, not a separate activity to be engaged in at specified times and places. Therefore, great emphasis is placed on the spiritual aspects of our role as musicians as well as our musical role. Music is more than a song; it is the foundation of worship. Worship is more than a thought or phrase; it is the very essence of communication with God our Creator. In the Old Testament days, the singers and musicians led the children of Israel into battle and also ushered them into the worship of God. Today, through the ministry of music the church, the body of Christ, experiences the victory of the battle as well as the intimate worship of our Most High God.

Nursing Home Ministry

Our mission is to provide a loving and caring time for our elderly, mentally & physically challenged friends in the local nursing homes. Many of our friends can't hold a song book or see the print. We select old hymns that many of them remember from their earlier years.

We also participate in a community ministry at Wesley Fountain in Milan, TN. We provide speakers to share encouraging words from God's Word

Royal Ambassadors

Royal Ambassadors (RAs) is a Bible-centered, church-based, Southern Baptist mission education organization for boys in grades 1-6.

A Royal Ambassador (RA) is a boy in grades 1-6 committed to living out the RA Pledge. This pledge is part of personal and chapter (group of RAs) accountability. We are proud to instill the Word of God into these young hearts and also to start them on the path to a greater awareness of the Great Commission. We hold a few fund raising events during the year to raise money for missions and "RA Racer Night" is one of our bigger events.

Women's Ministry

Our women have a vibrant ministry. Here are some of the activities that you can look forward to if you get involved:

  • Small group Bible study... focusing on topics of interest to the modern day Christian woman.
  • Fellowships and Seminars... which develop relationships and present timely information to help you cope with life.
  • Shopping Excursions and fun... now and then our ladies get together on our bus and head off for a day of fun and shopping.

Building 412 Student Ministry

Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. 1 Timothy 4:12

This exciting and contemporary ministry reaches out to today's generation of youth with a message of the love of God and the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Our student ministry goals are based on a foundation of worship, fellowship, discipleship and evangelism. The primary objectives of this ministry is to REACH believing and non-believing students, to CHALLENGE them to grow in their faith, to UNITE them with other Christians through fellowship, and challenge them to REALIZE their ministry and to WORSHIP God through a personal relationship and a daily walk with Christ! It is our desire to attain these goals in the course of our weekly worship time, small group discipleship, opportunities for young people to minister to others, and through special activities which promote spiritual and social growth.

Building 412 is designed to provide a very inviting atmosphere along with sound doctrinal teaching. We have designed a student ministry center complete with a game room, "hangout" area, Sunday school classes, and worship area. Our Wednesday night worship service incorporates a live praise band and state-of-the-art multimedia system."Building412" meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Details for other scheduled activities are included in monthly newsletters and Sunday bulletins. The student ministry takes several large trips each year.
